In Vranov nad Dyjí there is a very famous castle on a rock above the village. Be sure to visit the fortress museum and the V´RUN OFF´ amusement park, both not far from the castle.
The part of Vranov – Hamry, is also picturesque, and from here it is a short distance to the Podyjí National Park with the deep valley of the Dyje River, which meanders here and forms the border with Austria.
You can also go to the dam via the concrete dam under which the hydroelectric plant is located.
