Summer forest

If you want to get out of the sun for a while in summer, you will appreciate the shade of the trees. In the surroundings of Bítov and throughout the Podyjí National Park you will find a number of paths that lead through the forest. You can leave the car at home and take shortcuts to Cornštejn, Bítov, one of the smaller hiking circuits around the Lake of Love, Freistein, Nový Hrádek near Lukov… Most of the ruins are hidden in the forest. Along the way you are sure to come across wild strawberries, raspberries, and in late summer a large number of blackberries.
