Although Bítov is located in the Znojmo region in southern Moravia, you won’t find blooming apricots in its vicinity.

But what you will find in the spring forest is a huge number of flowering plants, often medicinal ones. Most of them will be pointed out to you by information boards that are abundantly found on individual trails. It is definitely worth coming to see the snowdrop-strewn slopes below the Cornštejn ruins. At the same time, purple liverworts and lungworts, yellow crocuses and spring flowers bloom with them. The snowdrops are followed by pink smoky violets and fragrant violets. In the surrounding deciduous forests, there are carpets of white anemones and yellow buttercups. You will certainly come across primroses and a non-green parasitic herb with a strange appearance – sedge. And the most important thing – the miracle herb bear’s garlic. You can find it mainly in the protected natural area of ​​Suchá hora, but also in many other places, especially on the banks of the Bítov brook and the wooded banks around the Vranov dam.
